Christina Aguilera has long been a supporter of the LGBTQ community, and she continued to welcome gay fans into her heart during the Miami stop of her Liberation Tour as she helped a fan propose to his boyfriend.
After performing Unless It’s With You, a romantic ballad from her recent album Liberation, the iconic performer brought Ben and Mikey onto the stage, and asked them: “So, what’s happening here tonight?”
“You’re kind, you’re beautiful, you’re loving,” said one of the men. “Six years ago, you proposed to me, and you gave me the opportunity to say yes. Tonight, in front of Christina, I’m gonna ask you the same question.”
He proceeded to get down on one knee to propose to him – and he said yes! (Well, they were already engaged, but whatever.)
His partner then praised Christina, and told her: “Thank you. You are so important to me. You’ve gotten me through so many things. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have your music to lift me up.”
The pop icon responded: “Thank you guys so much for coming on stage and sharing this special moment to two people that have been striving through life, and supporting me. I wanna wish you guys the best of luck.
“Thank you so much! Shall we celebrate this? Lets turn this into a wedding reception!”
Christina then performed her LGBTQ dance-pop anthem, Let There Be Love, to close the show.
