Certain precautions must be taken, however, before you dust off your gay cupid wings. Learn the do’s and don’ts of gay matchmaking before setting up your single gay friends.
Do let your single friends know of other single friends that might be of interest.
Do know your single friend’s personality and physical type.
Don’t assume just because your friend is single he doesn’t want to be that way.
Do ask your single friend is he would be interested in a set up.
Don’t set up blind dates for your gay friend without his consent.
Do give your friend as many details as possible about a potential suitor.
Don’t go on the date with them (unless there is a group of friends).
Don’t be too persistent about setting him up or insisting he go out.
Do remember that you are doing this for your friend, not for your own credit.
Do let the couple mature their own relationship.
Don’t become the arbitrator for their dating drama.
